Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data the Nazoo app collects, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it plain and specific.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. Who we are
Nazoo is a social app for voice rooms, one-to-one voice and video calls, chat, Moments and virtual gifts. The app and this website are operated by FLUXWISE MARKETING PTE. LTD., a company incorporated in Singapore (UEN 202615617G) with its registered office at 21 Woodlands Close, #04-30, Primz Bizhub, Singapore 737854 ("Nazoo", "we", "us").
We decide why and how your personal data is processed, so we are the controller (under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the "Data Fiduciary") for the data described here.
This policy covers the Nazoo mobile app and the nazoo.app website. It does not cover Apple, Google, Facebook or other services you use to sign in or pay; their own privacy policies apply to them.
2. Data we collect
Data you give us
- Sign-in details. Your mobile number if you sign in by phone (we send a one-time code by SMS), or an account identifier from Apple, Google or Facebook if you sign in with them. Those providers may also share your email address, name and profile picture; we use the name and picture only to pre-fill your profile and never use the email address as your login.
- Profile. Nickname, avatar, birthday, gender, country, bio, profile photos and album, and the Nazoo ID we assign you.
- Voice verification. If you choose to get a "verified" badge, a short recording of you reading a given text. It is checked automatically and, if needed, by our moderators. It is never shown to other users.
- Content you create. Messages (text, voice notes, photos, videos and files) in private and group chats; Moments, comments and likes; room names, covers, notices and welcome messages; songs you add to a room's music player; family and guild details.
- Reports and appeals. What you tell us when you report someone, appeal a ban or contact support, including any screenshots you attach.
- Optional reasons. For example, why you are deleting your account.
Data created when you use Nazoo
- Activity. Rooms you join, mic seats you take, calls you make or receive (who, when and how long, which is also the billing record of a call), follows, friends, visitors, blocks, gifts sent and received, levels and leaderboards, and the features you use (product events).
- Wallet and purchases. Balances of Diamonds, Gold, Rubies and other in-app units, every change to them, backpack items, VIP status, and store order and transaction references (see section 12).
- Device and connection. Device model, operating system and version, app version, app language, an install-level device identifier, push notification token, IP address and the country we derive from it, login times, and network quality during calls.
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and app logs that help us find and fix problems.
- Safety signals. Login history by device and IP address, device risk indicators, reports others make about you, warnings and bans.
Device permissions
Nazoo asks for the microphone (voice rooms, calls, voice notes, voice verification), the camera (video calls and taking photos) and photos / media (choosing or saving pictures and videos). On iPhone it may also ask for local network access, which the calling engine needs. Each permission is requested only when you use the feature, and you can turn it off in your device settings.
Voice rooms and calls
Audio and video in rooms and calls are streamed live through our calling providers (section 6). We do not record the audio or video of rooms or calls.
3. How we use it
- To run the service: create and secure your account, sign you in, show your profile, connect rooms, calls and chats, deliver messages and notifications, and process gifts, purchases and balances.
- To keep Nazoo safe: check text, images and audio for prohibited content (automatically and by human moderators), handle reports and appeals, prevent spam, fraud and repeat sign-ups, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To show the right experience: pick your region, language and content available in your country, and recommend rooms and people.
- To fix and improve the app: analyse crashes, logs and product events, mostly in aggregate.
- To talk to you: service messages, replies to support requests, and changes to our terms.
- To meet legal duties: keep financial and tax records, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights and those of our users.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal bases and consent
When you create an account you are asked to agree to these terms and this policy. In India, we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give at that point and for the legitimate uses allowed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Where other laws apply (for example the GDPR or the personal data laws of Gulf countries), we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the features you ask for (account, rooms, calls, chat, purchases).
- Legitimate interests: safety and moderation, fraud prevention, diagnostics and product improvement, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: financial records, tax and lawful requests.
- Consent: voice verification, device permissions and push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time (section 10); this does not affect processing that already happened, but some features may stop working.
When we make an important change to this policy, the app asks you to review and accept the new version.
5. What other people can see
Nazoo is a social app, so some of your data is visible to other users: your nickname, avatar, Nazoo ID, age, gender, country, bio, profile photos, level, verified badge, gifts you have received, Moments, follower counts, and anything you say or show in a room. Messages are visible to the people in that chat. Think before you share personal details in public spaces; other users may screenshot or record what they see.
7. Where your data is stored
Our servers are in Singapore. If you use Nazoo from India, the Middle East or elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in Singapore, and some of our providers process data in other countries too. We transfer data only as the law of your country allows, and we require providers to protect it with safeguards at least as strong as this policy (such as contractual clauses).
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal data while your account is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Some specific periods:
- Group and room chat messages are deleted after 90 days. Private messages stay until either side's account is deleted.
- Device diagnostic logs on our servers are deleted after 30 days.
- Voice verification recordings are kept until your account is deleted.
- Bans and the related safety records are kept until one year after the ban ends.
- Payment, gift and call billing records are kept, with anything that identifies you removed, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your data as described in section 11.
9. Security
Data travels between the app and our servers encrypted, with an extra layer of encryption on top of HTTPS in our release apps. Chat history saved on your phone is stored in an encrypted database. Private files such as chat media and voice recordings sit in private storage that is reached only through short-lived signed links. Staff access is limited to people who need it and is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you can:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a summary of how it is used and shared;
- correct or update it (most of your profile can be edited in the app);
- delete it, including your whole account (section 11);
- withdraw consent, for example by turning off microphone, camera or notification permissions in your device settings, or by deleting your account;
- object to or restrict some processing, and ask for a copy of your data in a portable format;
- nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to (India);
- complain to us (section 15) and, if you are not satisfied, to your data protection authority (in India, the Data Protection Board of India).
To use these rights, email support@nazoo.app and include your Nazoo ID (shown under your name on the Mine page). We may need to confirm the account is yours. We reply within the time the law allows, normally within 30 days.
You can also block and report other users in the app at any time.
11. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time:
- In the app: Mine › Settings › Account and Security › Deactivate Account › Apply for Deletion.
- On the web: at nazoo.app/account-deletion.
- By email if you can't sign in: write to support@nazoo.app with the subject "Delete my Nazoo account" and your Nazoo ID.
When you apply, you are signed out straight away. There is a 30-day cooling-off period: if you log in and choose to keep your account within 30 days, it is restored. After that, your profile, photos, voice verification recordings, Moments, messages you sent, social connections, rooms you own and all balances and items are permanently deleted and cannot be restored or refunded.
We keep only what the law or safety requires: payment, gift and call billing records with anything that identifies you removed, reports other people made about you, and any ban until one year after it ends. See the account deletion page for the full list.
12. Purchases and virtual items
Diamonds and other purchases in the app are paid through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store handles your payment; we never receive your card or bank details. From the store we receive the product, price, currency, order and transaction identifiers, and refund or cancellation notices, which we use to credit your account, prevent fraud and keep financial records.
We also record how you obtain and spend Diamonds, Gold and other in-app units (gifts, VIP, items and so on) so we can show your balance and history, resolve disputes and meet accounting duties.
13. Age limit
Nazoo is only for people aged 18 or over. We ask for your birthday when you sign up and do not let younger people register. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child is using Nazoo, report the account in the app or email support@nazoo.app and we will close it and delete its data.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or the law changes. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app and ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
15. Contact and grievances
Questions, requests or complaints about privacy: support@nazoo.app.
Grievance Officer (India): FLUXWISE MARKETING PTE. LTD., 21 Woodlands Close, #04-30, Primz Bizhub, Singapore 737854. Email support@nazoo.app with the subject "Grievance". We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
